Go-Woon Seo founded studio seo in New York 2017 with the pursuit of creating beautiful spaces that people interact with. Whether she is designing a new building lobby or developing academic school, her goal is to create aesthetically pleasing and livable spaces. Behind every beautiful building is a great design.
Go-Woon is a registered architect in New York, New Jersey, North Carolina, Maryland, Iowa, Tennessee, Texas and Georgia and currently running projects in these States.

Go-Woon Seo joined Morphosis in 2003 and has been involved in all stages of the design process from conceptual design and development through contract documents and project implementation for more than 11 years. She has served as a project designer on a variety of projects including a 470,000 square foot public high school in Perth Amboy, New Jersey and the European Central Bank Urban Planning and Design Competition, a 1.2 million square foot mixed-use office building and civic destination on the River Main in Frankfurt.
As a member of the design team for Morphosis’ winning NYC2012 Olympic Village in Queens, NY (6.1 million square foot), she focused on site analysis and park planning which led to a series of carefully considered public gathering spaces. She also served as a project designer for the firm's 6000 square foot mixed-media installation, Continuities of the Incomplete, at the Centre Pompidou in Paris and she has extended her role into the construction administration phase working full time on site playing a key role as designer developing the overall exterior design for the 184,000 square foot new academic laboratory building for the Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art, NYC.
Seo also served as a Project Designer for several projects as followings. Her role was ranged from BIM management with consultants to the overall exterior design, working closely with the clients, artist and user groups to gain an understanding of their unique and collective needs.

Prior to joining Morphosis in 2003, Ms. Seo worked as a designer on a broad range of projects for Space Group in Seoul, Korea. Her projects included KBS Broadcasting Station, Il-san Hospital, National Tax Administration Office Competition and Sung-Nam Chamber of Commerce & Industry. She received a Bachelor of Engineering in Architecture from Dongguk University, Seoul, Korea in 1998 with two awards: Hyundai Community Housing competition and International Space Prize for Architecture. She received a Master of Architecture from Southern California Institute of Architecture in 2003.
